Summerlin Jewelers is a full service, family owned and operated jewelry store located in Northwest Las Vegas. Summerlin Jewelers was founded by Larry Minden, following the footsteps of a long-held family tradition dating back to the 1950's, when his father and grandfather owned four jewelry stores in Ontario, Canada. Larry's father moved to Las Vegas in 1959, and had a jewelry display in the Vegas Village Department Store.
Later, he was able to acquire a store in the Silver City Plaza, across the street from the Stardust Casino. It was here in Las Vegas that Larry learned the jewelry business, working alongside his father at an early age. Larry opened his first Jewelry store in Southern California in 1984. After 10 years of business, Larry decided to move back to Las Vegas in 1994.
He found the perfect location in Summerlin, a new master planned community being developed in Northwest Las Vegas. In 2012, with business booming, Larry expanded Summerlin Jewelers to a larger space within the same development.

At Summerlin Jewelers, we offer Insurance Appraisals on any type of jewelry or watch, performed by our Gemological Institute of America (GIA) Graduate Gemologist.
Not only do we include the fiscal value of our appraisals, we also include a detailed description of the jewelry, including the metal composition, gemstone type, gemstone quality, and more!
By including this descriptive evaluation, our customer not only has the value for insurance purposes, but also a vivid description of the item in the unfortunate event that a replacement may be necessary.
