During the metals boom of the late 1970's, Dave Howell, a science teacher at Northampton Area High School, thought it was the ideal time for him to turn his lifelong passion - coins - into a business venture.
With the blessing of his wife, Sandy, and only four cases showcasing his personal collection, Dave opened a small store front on Main Street in 1980. Once people learned of Dave's easy going and honest manner, he quickly developed a following and continued to expand.
