Priddy Jewelers
A family owned jewelry store with a large selection of modern, classic and estate pieces with low prices. I am sure that my father-in-law, Harold Priddy, had no idea the number of lives he would affect when he began his business as a watchmaker back in 1963. I, myself, have seen the growth and development of Priddy Jewelers since I joined the family in 1983.

No matter the location, the name changes, or the number of people employed, the business has always had service as its core value. The business was introduced to our community in 1963 at 125 East Dixie (where J. Bradley is currently located) after Harold finished his apprenticeship as a watchmaker. Originally he served customers for watch repair but soon added clock repair.

Harold moved locations a few times before establishing Same Day Watch Repair in 1967 on North Main Street. It was at this location that Harold's son, (and my husband) Wes, joined the business 11 years later in 1978. It wasn't a plan that either Harold or Wes had even conceived for them to work together in the same business.

Our Four C's of Diamonds guide can help you decide on the most important factors when shopping for a diamond.
The word carat derives from the word carob, a Mediterranean seed, which has an extremely consistent weight for measuring.
The greater the carat weight, the rarer, and more valuable the diamond becomes.
Five metric carats weighs exactly 1 gram.
Some people want the largest diamond possible.
If size is a priority, we at Priddy Jewelers can help you classify the proper cut, color and clarity to fit your budget economically, and fit your jewelry beautifully.
Some people want to buy the biggest diamond possible.
Is this always the right choice?
The larger the diamond, chances are the more inclusions it likely has, and because it's larger, these inclusions are typically even more visible than on a smaller diamond.
But most importantly, if the diamond cut isn't proportioned correctly, it won't return the maximum amount of light through the top of the diamond.
This illustrates that no matter how large the diamond, its cut and proportions determine how brilliant the diamond really is.
Solitaire settings are great if you have a stunning singular stone that has been passed down through the generations as an heirloom, many choose to display it in a classic Solitaire setting.
This setting generally allows for the maximum amount of sparkle by allowing light to pass in through the bottom sections of the ring.
Side-Stone is similar to the Three Stone.
Side Stone settings are made up of a main stone and two alternative cuts with a greater difference in hierarchy.
Side Stones offer an elegant transition from stone to band and frame the main stone in lovely way.
Garnet comes from the Latin word granatus, meaning grain.
Garnet is mostly mined in Southeast Asia, Brazil, and Africa.
Occurring in every color except blue, the garnet is a versatile stone, appropriate for a multitude of applications and occasions.
Amethyst is a member of the quartz family, and ranges in color from light to deep purple.
Amethyst is derived from the Greek word emthystos meaning not drunk.
The ancient Greeks and Romans made drinking cups out of Amethyst believing that it would prevent intoxication.
