Paul Algiers and his sons, Paul and Robert worked together until 1980, when Paul Sr. retired. Paul Jr. and Robert took over ownership and moved the business to 200 Main Street to a larger and more up to date Jewelry Store. We are now celebrating 61 years in business. I went in to get a ring re-sized. I also was going to get a chain and a custom made ring.
The ring was re-sized but they polished out the antiquing. Then the sales girl mis-communicated the price. I asked for a refund on the necklace chain and refused to go back to get my custom made ring. Customer service is extremely important. They made way too many mistakes in such a short time. They also damaged my ring but refused to admit to it.
I'm never going back. But When I went to pick up my watch, when they called and told me it was fixed, the primary reason I left it there was not fixed. I went 30 minutes out of my way for no reason. Would give no stars if possible. I'm disgusted by the inappropriate insolence of the owner. If you break someone's jewelry while you're supposed to be fixing it - just fix it.
