Welcome to the sparkly world of EMILY AUSTIN AUSTRIAN CRYSTAL DESIGNS! I have been a jewelry designer for the past 23 years. When I started working with tiny crystals 25 years ago, there were only a handful of designers doing pave work with Swarovski crystals. Over the past 15 years the market has exploded and pretty much everything has crystals these days.
I have always used the most current Swarovski crystals which have been made lead free for several years! When I used them years ago, there were 10 facets on each crystal and now there are 58 facets on each crystal for maximum sparkle and bling! You will see many pieces which look like mine, but they aren't. The majority of manufactured jewelry with Swarovski crystals comes from Overseas.
They may look good when you buy them but chances are they won't hold up. I take pride in making sure every piece of jewelry that leaves my studio looks impeccable! Every piece is made one at a time with the utmost care and precision. I'm always looking for ways to improve my pave technique and components.
