Jewelry By Leonard Designs started as Leonard Design Corp. in 1998, a jewelry manufacturing company lead by Carlos Larrea a master bench jeweler in North Bergen, New Jersey.
Born and raised in Ecuador, Carlos came from a family jewelers who noticed his talent at young age and encouraged him to pursue his favorite "hobby" as a career.
Shortly after arriving in New York City in the early 1980's he was hired by famed sculpture artist/jewelry designer Barry Kieselstein-Cord and quickly rose to become one of his top model makers.
