Does it really work?
Yes.
All compasses, levels, and thermometers are functional.
The rulers work, but it would be hard to use them for accurate measurements on anything that is more than 1 long, as the rulers are not straight.
However, they are a useful tool for differentiating between 1/2" and 9/16".
