Our first generation, Simon Schiffman stepped off a train in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1893 to stretch his legs before completing his journey to Asheville. He saw a small jewelry store for sale on Elm Street, bought it, and the train went on without him. Simon saw a need for a jeweler in the Triad who understood quality and exceptional customer service and so he founded Schiffman's with those core values.
