No matter what's going on in the world, our passion for jewelry seems to be bottomless, and we know we're not alone. Our non profit organization devotes time to all things jewelry related: the history, the collectors, the stories, the stones, the metals, the designers, the business, the trends. The sources of inspiration we see are literally endless, and we've recently been posting what we affectionately refer to as "nibbets of knowledge" on our instagram page (@jewelryhistorians).

The nibbets show up daily, and include subjects both familiar and arcane, from the ridiculous to the sublime. We've just sent out our most recent newsletter, which we offer to members three times a year. Although each issue is spectacular and memorable in its own right, we'd like to share this most recent issue with potential new members. This way, you can get an idea of who we are and what we do.

We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you in person.

The American Society of Jewelry Historians (ASJH) is a 28-year old non-profit educational organization operated by volunteers who are committed to making the ASJH an up-to-date resource for those interested in jewelry related topics.
ASJH, founded in 1986, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing education and information on jewelry history and related topics, including ancient to modern jewelry, cultural influences on jewelry design and wear, famous jewelry designers, jewelry design houses, and jewelry collectors.
ASJH members are people who share a passion for jewelry, be it ancient, antique, or contemporary.
We welcome collectors, dealers, historians, designers, gemologists, craftspeople, curators, appraisers-anyone with an interest in jewelry.
You needn't be a "historian" to benefit from membership.
Our meetings are wonderful opportunities to hear interesting and informative lectures by experts from all over the United States and Europe, and to connect with others who share your interests.
There is no better way to enter the fascinating realm of people and traditions relating to jewelry than a membership in the Society.
The American Society of Jewelry Historians announces a scholarship award competition for current and recent graduate students.
Registration: All students interested in submitting essays for consideration must register at info@jewelryhistorians.org with the following information: name, mailing address, email address, daytime phone, institution attending or attended, year graduating or graduated, program in which enrolled.
To be eligible, you must be enrolled in a graduate program or, if you have graduated, it must be within the last year and a half.
