When the second side of the Mendham Village Shopping Center was built, there was a space 8 feet wide between the bakery and the hardware store, that no one wanted. Enter a watchmaker from the Bowery by the name of Russ Scalzo. Mr. Scalzo owned and operated Mendham Jewelers until 1984. Thats when Bob Diffin and his wife Catherine purchased the store.
With a brand new baby and a dream, they worked tirelessly. Four years later they moved to the other side of the shopping center, where it currently is. They saw the need for room to put in many new and exciting designer lines of jewelry and expand on the one of a kind pieces still made today. Along with most of the fine jewelry being crafted there, they met the needs of a growing community, offering onsight repairs and designing one of a kind pieces.
It has been over 35 years now and they are constantly getting referals of new customers and repeat visits from the long standing clientel. Bob and Catherine continue to make and bring in the newest and finest jewelry around.
